And this was my painting for Katie. Katie loves animals - the smile on her face when she sees a little bunny is the cutest thing in the world. I tried to make this point in our wedding speech, but ended up saying that Katie was an animal, which wasn’t the plan! Such is life, maybe she’s a cheetah given she can run a marathon in under 3:30.
I can’t quite remember where the fox came from. Foxes have almost become the totem animal of our relationship since (we’ll often have them walking us home late in the London evening), but I think this predated that.
Anyway, I painted this for her birthday, she hung it on her wall at the time, and when we moved in together she hung it in our bedroom - that’s probably the biggest feather in my cap I can ever imagine.
And vulpinity is not a word but should be a word (see Linguid), like vulpine but the essence of it? And just a bit more needlessly fancy.
